September 2026
Product updates and new features released in September 2026
Bug fixes
- Gift Card Credit Fix: Fixed an issue where store credit returned from a partially used gift card could be spent twice. Your customers' store credit balances will now accurately reflect the correct amount after gift card transactions.
One-Click Cancellation
Customers in select US states (New York by default) can now cancel their membership or subscription in a single click. After cancelling, they're prompted for a cancellation reason and shown an Undo option. You can configure which states this applies to under Settings > Customer Portal > Cancellation.
Independent Cancellation Settings
Membership auto-cancellation and store credit expiration are now configured independently. Setting a credit expiration period no longer affects the inactivity period after which inactive memberships are cancelled. The inactivity period must be between 6 and 24 months.
Lock Products Hidden
The Lock Products perk option has been removed from the VIP membership settings screen. Shops that had it enabled continue to work exactly as before — the setting is preserved and customers are unaffected.
Bug fixes
- Credit Expiry & Cancel Timing: Store credit expiration and the membership auto-cancel period can now be configured independently. Inactive members will be cancelled at most one month after their unused credits begin expiring, so they won't be billed again after credits run out.
Bug fixes
- Store Credit Forfeit: Fixed an issue where store credits were not correctly forfeited when a membership was cancelled. Shops without a rewards app now forfeit the full credit balance, while shops using a rewards app forfeit only the credits issued by Subscribfy. Pending credit redemptions are also released immediately upon cancellation.
Bulk Subscription Actions
You can now apply bulk actions to multiple subscriptions at once, such as pausing, canceling, delaying billing, or changing billing intervals.
Punch Card Initial Order
Product subscription punch-card loyalty rules can now count the first subscription order toward the reward — not just renewals. You can choose whether a new subscriber's starting order triggers progress on a punch-card rule.
Klaviyo Email Management
You can now manage your Klaviyo subscription emails directly from Subscribfy. See which Klaviyo account you're connected to, build and preview your welcome, cancel, paused, reactivated, successful charge, and charge reminder emails, send yourself a test, toggle each email live or back to draft, view how they're performing, and set how many days before renewal your reminder goes out.
Improvements
- Variant Picker Display: Default product variants in the resource picker now show the parent product's title and image, making it much easier to identify and select the right product when variants have generic names.
- Refund Reliability: Refund processing is now more resilient — failed refund tasks automatically retry, preventing silent failures and reducing the risk of stuck or duplicate operations.
Bug fixes
- Gorgias Sync: Fixed an issue where Gorgias customer data sync tasks (such as next payment date updates) could get stuck indefinitely and never complete.
Klaviyo Email Flows
Subscribfy can now automatically set up ready-to-send Klaviyo email flows for your membership — including welcome, cancellation, paused, reactivated, charge reminder, and successful charge emails — complete with branded templates and an AI-generated hero image.
More new features
- Pause Retention Offers: Members about to pause their membership can now be offered a retention deal (a discount, a frequency change, or store credits) to encourage them to stay subscribed, alongside your existing cancel and win-back offers.
- Bundle Product Swap: Customers can now change the products inside a bundled subscription directly from the customer portal, for stores using Simple Bundles.
- Membership Plan Recovery: If the Shopify product behind a VIP or Elite membership plan gets deleted, you'll now see a clear warning and can re-create the product in one click — keeping your membership plans intact without manual intervention.
Bug fixes
- Try Before You Buy Charges: Fixed an issue where trial charges could appear as paid before the customer's card was actually charged. Failed collections are now clearly shown as Payment Failed.
Improvements
- Dispute Matching: Chargeback and dispute alerts are now matched to the correct order more reliably, including cases where the reported card details or timezone differ slightly.
- Store Credit Editing: You can now edit a customer's membership store credit directly from the Subscribfy Admin — the edit button is available to all stores, no allowlist needed.
Bulk Data Export
You can now pull your store data in bulk — including orders, customers, subscriptions, cancellation reasons, and store credits — with support for paging and date filtering.
Export Reliability
Exports are now more accurate and reliable. Several issues affecting how data was exported have been resolved, so your downloads will better reflect the information in your store.
