How to create an SMS Subscription rule

Introduction

Build your SMS marketing list by offering points when customers opt in to receive text messages. SMS has higher open rates than email, making it a valuable channel for promotions.


Enabling SMS Subscription Reward

Create the Rule

Go to SubscribfyLoyaltyRewards Program tab → Create new ruleSMS Subscription

Configure Basic Settings

NameDisplay name (e.g., "Get Points for SMS")
Reward AmountPoints to award (e.g., 150 points)
Reward MessageMessage shown when reward is earned

Configure Advanced Settings (Optional)

Save

Click Save and make sure the rule status is ON.


How It Works

Points are awarded when a customer subscribes to SMS marketing. The subscription status is synced with Shopify's customer marketing preferences.

This is a one-time reward. Customers can only earn it once.


Retroactive Rewards

When you enable this rule, you can choose to retroactively reward customers who are already subscribed to SMS marketing.


Klaviyo Integration

If you have Klaviyo connected, Subscribfy sends a Subscribfy SMS Subscription Event when a customer earns points for subscribing.
